PERSONALITY

For the last twenty years, Codie Cadogan has become an expert in being on in public spaces. Like a switch. As someone who's assumed the role of many a person's childhood hero (or even crush), she knows she has become a figure of nostalgia, and she does her best to try and live up to that memory. No one wants a shitty encounter with someone you looked up to.But in her private moments, when she's not in front of a camera, or a fan, or in any sort of public setting, Codie is timid, down-to-earth, and smarter than she has been given credit for being. Thoughtful, and caring, and when faced with obstacles, she will stand up for herself and other people. While in the past she may have found herself in positions where she couldn't speak up, age and experience has hardened her. While still a little unsure of herself and her abilities as a pro wrestler in the current climate, Codie is a determined woman, and a fighter in life and in the ring.

Inspirations: Kelly Kapowski, Amy Jo Johnson, and whoever else your first celebrity crush might've been.

ABRIDGED BIO

If you're of a certain generation, Codie Cadogan is a name that'll resonate with you. You might've even had her poster on your wall. In the late 90s and the early 2000s, she was known the world over inside and outside of professional wrestling. The golden girl of the massive wrestling promotions she appeared in every week! A Playboy cover girl, twice over! Appearances on Leno, Letterman, and hosting SNL that one time. She even won a series of the Australian version of Celebrity Big Brother. A notable name in wrestling and popular culture, and an international sex symbol of the 2000s, usually falling somewhere at the top of most Top 10 Teenage Crush listicles you'll see on Buzzfeed this week. But it she wasn't happy.Codie grew up a professional wrestling fan. Watching it was the only thing that she and her father would ever do together. And all she ever really wanted was to be just like her heroes. She wanted to learn and be just as good as them. But wrestling wasn't then what it is now. The business was dirtier. Seedier. And if you were a woman…let's just say you weren't getting the same opportunities the men were, no matter how much you wanted them. So Codie left, at the height of her popularity. Had a life. Two ex-husbands, sadly no kids. Reality TV game shows, was The Chipmunk on The Masked Singer, that sort of stuff. But wrestling is different now. There have been female world champions and intergender wrestling abound. Stuff she wished she had. After a recent moment in an interview where she talked about this at length went viral, Codie Cadogan has returned to the wrestling industry after twenty years. And this time, she's coming for what she set out for in the first place; to be a professional wrestler.

WRESTLING STYLE

Inexperienced, but competent. During her original tenure in the 2000s, Codie Cadogan was recognised for trying the absolute hardest to improve amongst generally underdeveloped women's rosters. While she absolutely cannot boast of the sort of high level matches of modern female stars, Codie does know her away around a ring, and has been training harder in her comeback, so she might have a fair few tricks up her sleeve.

Wrestles Like: Melina, Mickie James, Taylor Wilde.

STRENGTHS

Heart: Codie Cadogan is one of the pluckiest you'll ever meet. Though she's a bit older than a lot of her opponents, what drives her is her passion for professional wrestling. You can knock her down, but she'll keep getting back up until she can take no more.Attitude: If there's one thing that stays consistent with Codie throughout her life, it's her can-do attitude, and her willingness to throw herself head-first into things and learn. Codie is a fast learner, and if she makes a mistake once, she won't make it next time. Otherwise, her positive attitude allows her to power through a lot of adversity.

WEAKNESSES

Experience: To give an example here, back in one of the companies she wrestled (and I use that term loosely) back in the 2000s, there were three women on the roster - one was a model and the other was a budding actress, both of whom had no interest in getting better at wrestling and she was probably just going to wrestle in a bra-and-panties or pillow fight match, not exactly putting on five star classics week to week, so Codie had to compromise. As a result, she's a bit against-it when it comes to experience and bigger matches will be an uphill struggle for a bit. But that's not enough to deter her.
